D12 / D12el alt/old

Auch die D12 ist wieder ein schönes Beispiel für das Spiel mit dem Wilesco-Baukasten: man nehme eine D16 und ersetze das Aggregat durch das der D8. Damit es nicht zu klein wirkt, wurde eine neue Aggregateplatte inklusive Geländer gemacht. Aufgrund des gößeren Dampfvolumens ist die d12 ganz klar die bessere Wahl gegenüber der D8, ist aber immer "nur" noch mit einem einseitig wirkenden Zylinder ausgestattet. Aber immerhin waren es 2012 ca. 90€ Preisdifferenz zu einer D16.

The D12 is also a nice example of playing with the Wilesco modular system: take a D16 and replace the unit with that of the D8. So that it does not look too small, a new aggregate plate including a railing was made. Due to the larger steam volume, the d12 is clearly the better choice compared to the D8, but is "only" equipped with a one-sided cylinder. But at least in 2012 there was a price difference of around € 90 compared to a D16.
