Ein weiteres Sondermodell der D14.

Mir ist ein weiteres Sondermodell der D14 in die Hände gefallen. Hierbei handelt es sich um eine schwarz-rote D14, welche zum "Technologieforum International" im Mai 1989 in Düsseldorf angefertigt wurde. Dieses Technologieforum ist der Verbund von vier großen Technologiemessen. Es wird heute noch als das "Metallmessen-Quartett" bezeichnet.

Another special model of the D14 fell into my hands. This is a black and red D14, which was made for the "Technology Forum International" in May 1989 in Düsseldorf. This technology forum is a combination of four major technology fairs. It is still referred to today as the "Metal Fair Quartet"
So findet man auf der Grundplatte der D14 an jeder Ecke jeweils einen Aufkleber der entsprechenden Messe. Hier die "ThermProcess", die weltweit bedeutendste Messe für Thermoprozesstechnik.

On the base plate of the D14 you will find a sticker for the corresponding trade fair on each corner. Here the "ThermProcess", the world's most important trade fair for thermal process technology.
Die "Bergbau" Düsseldorf war seinerzeit wohl eine der größten Messen zum Thema Bergbau und Bergbau-Maschinen.

Die "METEC" ist noch heute eine internationale Fachmesse für Metallurigie.

Aus heutiger Sicht sieht diese D14 nur nach einer normalen D14 mit ein paar Aufklebern aus. Im Jahr 1989 war eine normale D14 allerdings noch in der Wilesco-typischen Farbgebung mit Kupfer-farbenem Kesselhaus und blauer Grundplatte ausgeführt. So kann dieses Sondermodell als "Mutter der neuen D14" angesehen werden. Ausgeliefert wurde dieses Modell noch in der damaligen Original-Verpackung.

From today's perspective, this D14 looks just like a normal D14 with a few stickers. In 1989, however, a normal D14 was still in the typical Wilesco color scheme with a copper-colored boiler house and blue base plate. So this special model can be seen as the "mother of the new D14". This model was delivered in the original packaging.
