Mein Dampffreund Dirk sammelt auch Wilsco-Dampfmaschinen. Sein Fokus liegt aber ganz klar auf den Maschinen der 1960er Jahre. Nun hatte er zwei wunderschöne alte D20 in seiner Sammlung und parallel den Wunsch nach einer meiner 2-Zylinder-Maschinen. Was wird also daraus? Na klar: eine D20 Twin im Stile der 1960er.

My steam friend Dirk also collects Wilsco steam engines. But his focus is clearly on the machines of the 1960s. Now he had two beautiful old D20 in his collection and at the same time he wanted one of my 2-cylinder machines. So what is the result out of that? Of course: a D20 Twin in the style of the 1960s.

Das Besondere an dieser Maschine ist nun, dass lediglich das Aggregat neu gebaut wurde. Der Rest der Maschine befindet sich in einem so tollen Zustand, dass wir Alles so gelassen haben. So ist das neue Aggregat kombiniert mit dem Charme einer wirklich alten Maschine.

The special thing about this machine is that only the engine was rebuilt. The rest of the machine is in such great condition that we left everything as it is. This is how the new engine is combined with the charm of a really old machine.
