Nach der großen Turbine kommt hier nun die kleine Schwester.
After the big turbine, here comes the little sister.
Die kleine Turbine von MicroCosm ist doch wirklich klein. Eigentlich wollte ich diese in einer Kombination mit D6-Komponenten bauen. Es hat sich aber leider gezeigt, dass das Dampfvolumen definitiv nicht ausreicht. Also musst etwas Größeres her. Nur wohin mit einer kleinen Turbine an einem großen Kessel für ein gefälliges Gesamtbild?

The small turbine from MicroCosm is really small. Actually I wanted to build this in a combination with D6 components. Unfortunately, it has been shown that the steam volume is definitely not sufficient. So you need something bigger. But what to do with a small turbine on a large boiler for a pleasing overall picture?
So ist dann die Lösung entstanden die Turbine hinten am Kessel anzubringen. Ich habe einen Kessel der D430 gekürzt und diesen mit dem Kesselhaus der D430 und einer Grundplatte in Größe der D6 kombiniert. Zur Abrundung kam dann noch der Generator der D100e inklusive zweier Polklemmen hinzu.

So the solution was to attach the turbine to the back of the boiler. I shortened a boiler from the D430 and combined it with the boiler house from the D430 and a base plate the size of the D6. To round it off, the generator of the D100e including two pole terminals was added.
Auch wenn das Gesamtbild nun ganz ansprechend aussieht, so ist das Dampfvolumen doch recht grenzwertig. Die Turbine schafft es zwar den Generator anzutreiben, jedoch nicht konstant. Da muss ich dann nochmal ran...

Even if the overall picture looks quite appealing, the vapor volume is quite borderline. Turbine manages to drive generator, but not constantly. There I have to go again...
