eine ganz besondere D101 - very special D101

Ich dachte eigentlich ich würde das Wichtigste über die D101 wissen. Jetzt ist mir allerdings eine D101 über denWeg gelaufen, welche ein besonderes Detail beinhaltet.

I thought I know the most important things about the D101. But now I learned something special about this machine. 

Die D101 wurde ca. 1972 in das Programm aufgenommen und stellte die kleinste Werkstatt dar. Anfangs noch mit grauer Grundplatte wurde die Maschine von ca. 1972 bis ca. 1999 gebaut und dann aus dem Programm genommen.

The production of the D101 started arround 1972 at that time with grey base and was produced until 1999. 

Seit dem Jahr 2000 baut Wilesco die Dampfmaschinen mit rauchendem Kamin, d.h. das Kondensat wird in das Kesselhaus unterhalb des Kamins geleitet. Da dieses erst in 2000 eingeführt wurde, kann es eigentlich keine D101 in dieser Form geben.

Since 2000 the Wilesco engines have the condenswater pipe going from the engine into the boiler house underneath the smoke stack. As the D101 went out of production in 1999 a D101 ith that feature should not exist.

In 2002 wollte dann aber die Supermarktkette PLUS eine Dampfmaschine ins Programm aufnehmen und es sollte eine D101 sein. Da es die D10 zu der Zeit nur noch mit rauchendem Kamin gab, entstand so eine kleine Serie rauchender D101.

In 2002 the german supermarket PLUS decided to sell also a steam engine and it should be a D101. As the D10 in Wilescos programm was only available with the new smoking chimney at that time Wilesco produced a small series of smoking D101.

Ich konnte die Maschine in neuwertigem und unbespieltem Zustand. bekommen. Ich freue mich sehr!

I got the engine in brandnew and never used conidition. Great!

Interessant ist aber, dass Wilesco offenbar die alten Kartons weiter verwendet hat. Die Abbildung zeigt eine D101 mit dem alten Abdampfrohr.

Interesting is that Wilesco obviously used the old boxes for thsi new D101. The picture on the box shows the old D101 with the old condenswater piping.
