Die ganz alte D10 jetzt im Betrieb!
The really old D10 now in action.
Die Unterschiede der alten D10 im Vergleich zu einer neuen hatte ich ja bereits erläutert (s.u.). Es blieb aber noch die Frage offen, wo der Abdampf austritt. Immerhin hat diese alte Version ja kein Abdampfrohr. Im Video zu erkennen: der Abdampf geht am Steuerkolben raus.

The differences between an old D10 and a current one I already explained some time ago (see below). But there was one open question to be answered: wher does the exhaust go to as there is no exhaust pipe? As you can see in the video the steam comes out of the piston. which controls the steam.
Es haben zwei weitere D10 den Weg in meine Sammlung gefunden.

Two additional D10 found their way into my colection.
Die erste ist eine nahezu neue D10, wie sie immer noch im Wilesco-Angebot zu finden ist. Allerdings nicht die aller letzte Serie, da diese das Kondenswasser noch nicht in den Kamin abführt.

The first one is a brandnew D10 as it still can be found in Wilscoe-Portfolio. But this one still is the 2nd last Version as this one leads the condens water into the tray below the engine.
Die zweite D10 ist da schon eher etwas Besonderes. Hier handelt es sich um eine sehr früh gebaute D10.

The second D10 is more interesting as this one is one of the very early version.
Bei dem modernen Modell das bekannte Setup auf dem Kessel: normales Sicherheitsventil, geschraubte Verbindung des Dampfrohres und Pfeife mit rotem Kunststoffgriff. Dieser wurde ca. 2000 durch die heutigen schwarzen Kunststoffgriffe getauscht.

With the new model a well known Setup on top of the Boiler: current safety valve, screwed steam pipe and the whistle with red plastic handle. This was changed to the current black plastic ones arround 2000.
Auf der alten Maschine sieht das etwas anders aus: altes Sicherheitsventil, gelötetes Dampfrohr und Pfeife mit dunkelrotem Bakelit-Griff.

With the old engine it Looks different: old saftey-valve, soildered steam pipe and the whistle with the old dark-red Bakelit handle.
Das Schwungrad hat bei der neuen Maschine die heute noch bekannten 5 Speichen.

With the new engine the flywheel has 5 spokes, same as still today.
Bei der alten Maschine ist noch das alte Schwungrad mit 6 Speichen zu finden.

Der Fliehkraftregler der ganz alten Maschine ist in der Geometrie etwas anders ausgeführt und hat auch eine andere Form der Gewichte.

The governor of the older Version Shows up with a different Geometrie especially of the weights.
Den interessantesten Unterschied findet man aber bei der Ableitung des Kondenswassers. Bei der neueren D10 wird das Kondenswasser durch einen kleinen Rohrbogen in die unter dem Zylinder liegenden Schale geleitet.

The most interesting difference is about the condenswater-pipe. With the newer engine there is a small bended pipe, which leads the water into the tray underneath the engine.
Bei der alten Maschine wurde in der ersten Serie 1955 noch ohne Abdampfrohr gearbeitet. Hier musste der Abdampf dann seinen Weg an der Steuerstange vorbei suchen. Wie das im Betrieb aussieht muss ich noch ausprobieren.

With the first series of D10 Wilesco tried to get along without a exhaust pipe. So the steam had to find ist way somewhere passing the steerring rod. I Need to test how that works.

Kann es sein das es sich hierbei um eine einfach wirkenden Zylinder handelt wie es früher bei vielen Modelldampfmaschinen üblich war?
