Diese Modelle werden seitens Wilesco hergestellt, damit die Spielzeug-Läden die Möglichkeit haben die Modelle in Aktion zu zeigen. Und das ganz ohne Dampf. Obwohl Wilesco diese Modelle im Katalog anbietet, ist es wohl eher üblich (Aussage Wilesco), dass die Modelle den Händlern zur Verfügung gestellt werden und nach gewisser Zeit wieder an Wilesco zurück gehen. Daher sind diese Modelle auch nur sehr schwer und extrem selten zu bekommen.

Those Demonstration-models are produced by Wilesco to give dealers the possibility to demonstrate the function of the engine even without steam. Even Wilesco offers these models officially in the catalog it is more often the case that those models are handed over to dealers for a period of time (that is what Wilesco told me). After that the models get back to Wilesco. That is one reason that those demonstration-models are very rare and hard to find.

At christmas I found a D36 with water cart as rare demonstration-model under the tree.
Um das Modell von Dampf unabhängig laufen lassen zu können, wird dieses mit einem Elektromotor, einem Getriebe und verschiedenen Transmission angetrieben.

To make it work even steam-independent the whole model is driven by an electric motor, a transmission and several drivebands.
Selbst bei dieser Konstzruktion wurde auf bewährte Wilesco-Bauteile zurück gegriffen.

Die Dampfwalze wird mit einem Riemen über das Schwungrad angetrieben.

The roller gets driven by one belt over the pulley on the flywheel.
Die linke hintere Walze wird ganz normal über die Zahnräder der Walze angetrieben. Die rechte Wale rollt aber beim normalen Modell einfach nur mit. Um aber auch diese anzutreiben wurde bei diesem Modell die gleiche Klammer verwendet, wie sie auch links zum Einsatz kommt.

Normally the right rear role is not driven. But in this model all wheels should rotate and therefor the right role also has a fixture of the wheel on the shaft (same as on the left side).
Wo wir schon bei den Walzen sind: Bei dem Schau-Modell hat Wilesco hinten schmalere Walzen verwendet, als bei der normalen D36.

Talking about the rear wheels we need to mention that Wilesco used wheels in a smaller width compared to the normal D36 roller.
Die vorderen Walzen werden ebenfalls von einem eigenen Riemen angetrieben. Beide Walzen sind auf der Achse fixiert.

Front wheels also gets driven by a separated belt and both roles are fixed on the shaft.
