I was able to add another steam boat to my collection
Obwohl die African Queen eigentlich das einzige Dampfboot von Wilesco ist, habe ich meiner Sammlung doch noch eine Patricia der Firma Krick hinzugefügt.

The only steam boat built by Wilesco was the African Queen. But regardless of that I decided to add also a Patricia made by the german factory Krick to my collection..
Der Grund hierfür ist, dass die Patricia von einer Dampfmaschine angetrieben wird, welche hauptsächlich aus Wilesco-Bauteilen besteht.

The reason to add that modell to my collection is because the steam engine is made mainly out of Wilesco components.
Der Gastank ist der einer D48, der Kessel stamt von einer D49 und das Aggregat wurde unter Verwendung von 2 Wilesco-Zylindern gebaut.

The gastank is the same as for a D48, the boiler the same as a D49 and the engine is build by using two Wilesco-cylinder in an own arrangement.
Da das Aggregat als 2-Zylinder-Maschine ausgeführt ist, kann man dieses einfach umsteuern und die Maschine ist selbst anlaufend. Beides ist sehr wichtig für den ferngesteuerten Betrieb. .

As the engine is built as a 2-cylinder engine it can be easily run into one or the other direction and a self-start is always guaranteed. This is mandatory for an efficient usage under RC-control.
Ob das Aggregat dann so von Krick zusammengebaut wurde oder dieses evtl. sogar bei Wilesco erfolgt ist, kann ich nicht sagen.

If the engine was assembled by Krick or directly by Wilesco is still open.
Jetzt muss nur noch die Fernsteuerung eingebaut werden und dann kann in See gestochen werden..

I need to install the RC-system and then I will steam up to go onto the water.
Leider wird das Modell Patricia schon seit längerem nicht mehr gebaut. Und da auch seitens Wilesco die Maschinen ausgelaufen sind, welche die Basis für dieses Modll darstellen, ergibt sich in Summe ein doch recht seltenes Modell.

The patricia went out of Krick's production several years ago. And as also the Wilesco engines ran out which have been used as bases, this whole model is an interesting rare thing.
